What types of QR codes can I generate?
This tool supports URL/website QR codes, UPI payment QR codes (compatible with PhonePe, GPay, Paytm, BHIM), WiFi network QR codes that auto-connect on scan, vCard contact QR codes, plain text, pre-filled email, and SMS QR codes.
Is the generated QR code permanent?
Yes. QR codes generated here are static — they are simply visual encodings of text or URLs and do not expire. They will continue to work as long as the destination URL or UPI ID remains active. There is no server-side dependency.
What is the maximum data a QR code can hold?
A QR code can hold up to 3KB of text (about 4,296 alphanumeric characters). Very long URLs or large data blocks make QR codes denser and harder to scan. For best scannability, keep encoded data under 200 characters where possible.
Can I use the QR code commercially?
Yes. QR codes generated by this tool are free to use for personal, business, and commercial purposes. You can print them on marketing materials, business cards, product packaging, restaurant menus, and storefronts.
What size should I print a QR code at?
For reliable scanning, print QR codes at a minimum of 2cm × 2cm (about 0.8 × 0.8 inches). For outdoor signage or banners meant to be scanned from a distance, use at least 10cm × 10cm. The quiet zone (white border) around the QR code should be at least 4 modules wide.
